Tosa Electric Railway has 25km tram network. Tram of Tosa Electric Railway has two face - Urban transport in Kochi city, and interurban tram to Nangoku city(western suburb of Kochi) and Ino town(eastern suburb of Kochi).
The rolling stocks for regular service are mostly old(made in 1950s - 1960s) high floor cars. Details of old cars have difference(ex. number of side windows, type of air conditioning machine, size of front windows) by repair work and small modernization. Some old cars are rebuilt the body. Also, rebuilt cars has difference of painting, destination indicator, and more. Deferences of rolling stocks are very interesting for tram enthusiast.
On the other hand, this tram has many interesting scenes. In はりまや橋(Harimaya-bashi, at central business diatrict of Kochi), there is the tram-tram crossing. it's one of two tram-tram crossings in Japan. In the western suburb of Kochi, tram runs narrow road with single track. In the single track section, we can see the tablet exchange.
