Sapporo City Transport Bureau has one 8.4km tram line.
In 1960s, there is 25km tram network in Sapporo. In 1960s, Sapporo city was planning tramway modernization . Articulated cars were launched. Tram tunnel plan of busy section was dissuced. However, population of Sapporo was increasing suddenly(population in 1960 is 500000, in 1970 is 1000000). Due to the tram was too crowded, most tram lines were repleced to subways.
After 1974, there is only one tram line in Sapporo. Tram line in Sapporo is "C" shaped. Two terminals are in central business district. Another part of line is residential area.
By 2015, Line will be become loop. Purpose is revival of central businness district. Currently, all cars are high-floor cars, but low-floor tram(Alna sharyo's Little Dancer) will be introduced.

Type8510 is inverter-controlled high floor tram, made in 1987.
Type240 Nishi-Yonchome -> Susukino
Type240 is high floor tram with nose-suspention drive, made in 1960. This rounded doby is standard style of Sapporo tram in 1960s.
Sapporo Municipal Subway type3000, Namboku line, Asabu -> Makomanai
Subway Namboku line is most important transport after abandonment of most tram lines. Subway in Sapporo is rubber tired system. Type3000 is chopper controlled EMU made in 1978 - 1990. All type3000s were withdrawn until 2012.
Horse tram in Historical Villadge of Hokkaido, Soke-shumabetsu-ekiteisho(ソーケシュマベツ駅逓所) -> Urakawa-shicho-chosha(浦河支庁庁舎)
Historical Villadge of Hokkaido is open-air architectural museum with about 50 histrical buildings in 54 hectare site. Horse-drawn tram is operated from Spring to Atumun with 500m long 762mm gauge track.
Wagon of horse tram was built in 1982. Style of wagon is imitated former horse tram until 1918 in Sapporo downtown.
