Dalian, one of large Chinese cities with population of 6milion, has the various public transport. There is tramway, suburban railway, trollybus, BRT and conventional bus. Also, metro is being constructed.
Tram in Dalian has two lines - line 201 and 202.
Line 201 is traditional tramway. Many tramcars made in 1930s are used in this line. And, there is histric buldings in 1890 - 1930s along the line 201. Today, line 201 is urban public transport and popular tourist atraction too.
Line 202 was traditional tramway. However, this line was completly modernized in 1999-2002, and expanded to southern suburb in 2002. Also, low-floor trams(DL6WA) were introduced. Track was refurbished, and some level crossing was became elevated crossing. Today, Line 202 is LRT.
Type DL3000, Line201 Huale Guangchang(Huale Square) -> Xinggong Jie(Xinggong Street)
DL3000 is histric car made in 1930s by Nippon Sharyo in Japan. As of 2012, DL3000 was still in regular service. Line 201 is east-west line from Haizhiyun Gongyuan(Haizhiyun Park) to Xinggong Jie(Xinggong Street). But as of December 2012, this line was separated currently from Haizhiyun Gongyuan to Huale Guangchang(Huale Square), and Huale Guangchang to Xinggong Jie.
Type CJWG150, Trolleybus Line101 Dalian Huoche Zhan(Dalian railway station) -> Malan guangchang(Malan Square)
Line 101 is only one of trolleybus line in Dalian. As of 2012, line 101 is approximately 7km route with type CJWG150(articulated bus) and type WDG61U(non-articulated bus).
